Education Program

The Summit was created to serve stakeholders in the education sector, and the purpose of the education program is to provide insight into the strategies and best practices behind successful programs.

Register for a one- or two-day pass and take advantage of this opportunity to benefit from the experience of some of the nation's leading green school practitioners, experts in fields ranging from green building to curriculum.

Workforce Development
The program for October 29 will include a series of sessions for community college attendees focused on workforce developement. These sessions are open to registrants who have an education pass for that day. For details, click here.

Pre-Summit Training: ZNE Retrofits: ZNE Retrofits
On October 28, from 10:00 am-4:00 pm, New Buildings Institute will facilitate "Path to Zero Net Energy School Retrofits: Technical Training for Building Industry Professionals." This training is available at no cost to all Summit attendees. To see the agenda for the day, click here.

Pre-Summit Training: Low-Water Landscapes
October 28 will also include the session "Landscape Alternatives: Drought with the Possibility of Rain," from 9:00 am-3:00 pm. This one-day session will focus on innovative approaches to water-wise landscape design, including outdoor classrooms and edible gardens. Come learn from some of the state’s leading practitioners. Green Technology is an ICC Preferred Provider and a AIA Provider. Sessions currently approved by AIA are noted. Additional sessions are pending approval; check back for updates. ICC credits are pending.

All sessions will offer Build it Green credtis (one credit per hour) and Construction Management Association of America renewal points (one per hour). All registrants will receive a certificate of participation.
