KEITH MILLER
President
Mr. Miller has spent the last 30 years as an executive with FASE and Green Technology. His duties and accomplishments include acquisition and management of multiple grants from Federal and local agencies including the National Science Foundation, US. Department of Energy, US Dept of Labor as well as California based funders.
During his tenure he has built and managed team efforts to broaden STEM education and environmental literacy. He established the Green Technology Initiative 17 years ago and has overseen the work of the Green Technology team that has produced events every year since its beginning reaching over 15,000 participants from the public sector and the commercial sector.
Under his leadership Green Technology has built a significant database of California stakeholders who share the initiatives values and goals.
His expertise is in public relations, marketing and outreach, copy writing and editing, video production management, overseeing events related to community and school-based projects and in partnership with public sector leaders and stakeholders. Keith is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions for this work and his community contributions.
STAR OLEA
Vice President of Operations
Star Olea has over 20 years of experience working in non-profit organizations as an executive and organizational expert. She was trained in organization and administration, with over 20 years of hands-on experience in executive leadership.
While working in non-profits, Star has planned, coordinated, and executed over 100 programs that dealt with managing personnel, projects, and volunteers. For the past 14 years, Star has been planning and executing environmental, and climate related events and training with Green Technology as the Director of Operations and in the last two years as the VP of Operations, with Green Technology.
Since 2010, Star Olea has worked directly with the Building Standards Commission at DGS and the California Energy Commission to help organize training for over 5000 architects, engineers, building officials and many other such positions on the CalGreen Building Code and California Energy Code. Star has organized and executed 24 large-scale environmental, sustainable conferences in the State of California, as the lead manager over seeing all activity. She has planned, coordinated, and executed over 100 virtual events/meetings for hundreds of people. She has also organized and executed several fundraisers and corporate parties.
She volunteered as a Boy Scouts of America Cub Scout Den Leader for 3 years to help merge the change of girls being accepted into the scout’s program in 2017 to 2020. Star has helped to organize with her local church to do environmental clean ups in her community.
JONATHAN MARQUISS
Sustainability Coordinator
Jonathan Marquiss is a Sustainability Coordinator for Green Technology specializing in bringing together peers in the public sector and private sector to help share best practices and find sustainable solutions.
This is done through creating connections as small as one on one meetings and virtual roundtables, to large training events, and full Summits and expositions. These connections are made through understanding the needs and wants of the various groups ranging from Non-profit organizations and school districts to State and Local Government agencies. This requires an understanding of the subject matter within the training events and the creation of outreach campaigns to spur interest in attending.
Jonathan started with Green Technology in June of 2014; since that time, he has worked on 19 large-scale events with attendees ranging from 250 to 1100 attendees. He has assisted with over 100 smaller environmental, green or climate related events bringing them to the public sector, municipalities, non-profits, schools staff and other from across California. In doing so he has engaged multiple state agencies, and departments.
FERNANDO OLEA
Marketing and Design Associate
Fernando Olea is the Marketing and Design Associate with over two decades of experience in graphic design. Proven expertise in developing and executing effective marketing plans, leading teams, and fostering collaborative environments.
Recognized for leadership skills, excellent communication, and a track record of achieving sales targets. Fernando has worked on multiple events with Green Technology and has assisted in spearheading the creation of branding for marketing campaigns. He has directed a team in producing a wide spectrum of promotional materials.
Mr. Olea has additionally assisted in image acquisition, survey tabulation, marketing and design of flyers, websites, toolkits and social media materials to forward the sustainable goals of California and Green Technologies mission. He has been strategic in both small and large-scale events to ensure all needed branded materials were accurately used, aesthetic and beautifully designed.
NANCY MILLER
Exhibitor/Sponsor Consultant
Nancy has over 20 years working with the FASE/Green Technology Nonprofit with a variety of projects. She has lead outreach and education efforts reaching educators throughout the country interested in STEM education as well as environmental literacy.
Nancy is the Accounts Manager and coordinator for Green Technology company relationships. Her role includes supporting sustainability companies in their efforts to identify opportunities and connect with influencers, stakeholders and decision makers who are tasked with finding and implementing sustainable building and transportation solutions for their institutions. In this capacity she has connected thousands of company representatives to prospective clients.
NICK MILLER
IT & Registration
Nick Miller has over 5 years experience Leading Green Technology’s IT-related responsibilities for staff, ensuring a technical environment free of software, hardware, network, or server-related distractions, and promoting swift production runways with minimal downtime when any technical difficulties were experienced.
His experience includes five plus years overseeing and managing event registration for over a dozen events with attendance ranging from 250 – 1,000 participants. This work includes efficiently managing end-to-end event registration, ensuring accuracy and completeness of attendee, exhibitor, and speaker data.
Event duties included badge production and distribution, optimizing the process for timeliness and precision. Provided on-site event support, offering guidance to attendees, exhibitors, and speakers, while effectively handling inquiries. Maintained post-event records and contributed to data analysis efforts for future event improvements. Nick’s role as Head of Event Registration demands meticulous organization, multitasking, and a dedication to professionalism, ensuring the seamless execution of Green Technology’s events.
