This presentation equips school district staff to implement energy-efficient Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) initiatives that improve learning conditions while reducing energy costs. Participants will learn practical, proven strategies—grounded in successful district examples—for building and executing a comprehensive Energy Efficient IAQ plan. A central theme is integrating IAQ management with energy efficiency to create a coordinated, sustainable approach. The session provides actionable guidance for starting or strengthening IAQ plans and policies, highlighting key benefits, common challenges, and effective ways to overcome them.
Attendees will also learn how to access and apply free tools, best-practice guides, technical assistance, and funding opportunities to support assessment and implementation.
Finally, the presentation reviews the current landscape of state IAQ regulations so educational facilities can understand requirements and maintain compliance.
